This document is written for the protection of the Breeder, the Buyer, and the Puppy. To the best of Breeder’s knowledge, the puppy is in good health at the time of sale. Puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormings, and general health care. The buyer should have the puppy checked by a state-licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase, and is urged to do so.
Breeder guarantees that all precautions have been taken with parents to ensure puppy will be healthy and live a normal, healthy life. This guarantee is in effect until the puppy reaches 1 year. In the event of a “proven” genetic pre-existing, life-threatening medical condition, that will prevent the puppy from living a normal life, the puppy will be replaced with one of equal value and same gender at the earliest availability.
All transportation fees will be the responsibility of the buyer. Any genetic health issues must be confirmed by a licensed veterinarian and must be backed up with test results from a licensed laboratory. Breeder reserves the right to request a second opinion and additional testing. It is to be clearly understood that Breeder assumes absolutely no responsibility of medical expense, once the puppy is with new owner. The breeder is to be notified immediately via phone of any genetic health issue, and in writing within 24 hours.
This guarantee does NOT cover any contagious disease after 3 days after purchase, nor does it cover umbilical hernias, retained testicles, intestinal parasites (rarely occurs, but it can happen). Nor do any issues caused by neglect or improper feeding. The puppy should be fed a premium puppy food.
In the event there is a dispute should arise concerning this health guarantee and cannot be resolved by Breeder/Buyer, any and all legal action instigated by the Buyer shall be filed in Colorado Springs, CO.
There is nothing implied that is not written in this guarantee. The guarantee is printed on the website, and it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with content. Once a deposit is placed, you are agreeing to stipulations set forth herein. Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time you take him home. He has been dewormed at 2 weeks of age and every 2 weeks thereafter. He has received vaccines and has been examined by a licensed veterinarian and was to be found in good health.
Your veterinarian should check your puppy within 2 weeks from the date of purchase. If your veterinarian feels that the puppy is not healthy, and has a life-threatening illness, have him write a letter describing the problem. I will have the condition confirmed by my veterinarian. If the condition is validated, you may return the puppy for a full refund, or I will provide a replacement puppy.
If your puppy dies within the first 6 months from a congenital defect, he/she will be replaced at no charge. An autopsy must be performed to determine the cause of death, and a letter from your veterinarian must state that the cause of death was congenital. If you breed your puppy during the first year, this guarantee is no longer valid.
As a responsible breeder, I try my best to breed healthy, happy puppies. Sometimes things go wrong, and there may be unexpected veterinarian bills. As a pet owner, you must understand that you are responsible for any veterinarian bills incurred after your puppy leaves my home.
